A Bit About Me
I've always loved systems and things that just make sense. To me, that's numbers. I decided on getting a degree in accounting early on in my adult life. I had already helped with various friend's and family's books since the age of 16. The systems of organization I learned back then seemed very intuitive. I learned on paper, with physical receipts and ledger books. My schooling also taught the basics first, and I think that helped really solidify the procedures and why things are done the way that they are. After my schooling was done, I started my own small batch manufacturing business. This taught me even more about taxes, legalities, and inventory tracking in real world instances. Now moving on, I'm wanting to help other businesses like mine navigate the complexities that come with them. Sometimes it can seem daunting, but I'm here to make it seem more intuitive. I'm also working towards gaining the certifications needs to prepare and file individual taxes in California.
Fun Stuff
I love being creative, it's what makes me want to work with other creatives. I love to learn more about different products people make. I sew, sculpt, geek out on planners, I do a lot of family history research, and absolutely love miniatures!
I'm a plant person. I'm sure you can tell by my site that I'm a little into succulents. They are like a living collection.
I'd love to get to know my clients better and find out what sorts of thing you love too. If you are interested, please fill out an application for a discovery call.

About Little Green Ledger
My goal is to help others with their small business needs. You as a business owner should spend your time doing what you love. Here at Little Green Ledger, I want you to feel knowledgeable and secure about your day to day finances so you aren't stressed come tax time, but you don't need to do it all.
Running the fun part of your business might be intuitive to you, but how you track your inventory, spending, and sales (especially when you use raw materials to make the actual products you sell) might not be. Let's work together to find a system that will allow you to track those materials and costs so you can have a handle on what their numbers mean for your books. Inventory is one of the major points on your tax returns. This is even true for resellers who work on Ebay; you might have a lot of inventory that could get overwhelming fast. Let me help you get and stay organized, so you wont end up having to count every single item and pricing it before you can file your taxes.
While going to school for my accounting degree, I became very experienced in Excel. I've created loads of interactive workbooks to solve many issues surrounding finances and business. If you don't end up using my services, I provide some self help files so you can do it yourself. My end goal here is to help you make sense of all the numbers that go along with your business.
Are We a Good Fit?
Not everyone is a good match for everyone else. Even companies have different operations, values, and communication styles. I can tell you a little more about how I work, and we'll learn more over a discovery session.
I'm an introvert who prefers written communication generally, but I have office hours set aside for discovery sessions and we may have periodic meetings when your services include phone or video calls. I have tattoos and blue hair, but I'm professional anyway. I'm liberal with socialist views, and I don't judge others. I am open to having any conversation, and I will never stop wanting to learn. I care deeply for the earth and other living beings. I believe in science, math, love is love, black lives matter, gender is a social construct, biology gets it wrong sometimes, indigenous voices should be heard, and all people deserve to have what they need.
Who I Work With
I specialize in small batch manufacturing, I've learned a lot with my own SBM business making cloth diapers. I want to help businesses keep an eye on inventory and make sure its tracked correctly. This requires the business to be very hands on in counting and updating the amounts of materials. That being said I am open to and excited about learning other industries.
I work with businesses that know where they want their company to go. They are passionate and also have a love of learning. They want to be involved with their finances, but trust me to take care of their best interest. They are communicative and responsive; I will be requesting documents at times to complete the monthly services. They are also patient as this is an ongoing process. Every month, similar things will be tracked and balanced, then yearly tax time comes and I may need to talk with your accountant. Furthermore, cleanup and setup can take time as well. If the books haven't been quite right for some time, it will take time to straighten out.
Lastly, you have to be willing to invest in your business. I'm not an employee, I am a contracted worker here to help your business and that does cost money. You'll be paying for my time and expertise.
Who I Wont Work With
Anyone stuck in the past or that fears change. I learned accounting on paper with ledger books and t accounts, but this is a fast moving industry filled with innovation. I am cloud based in order to serve more business all over the US. Not being willing to adapt to technology will prevent me from providing services.
I don't work with businesses who aren't very passionate about their work, do it haphazard, or expect overnight results. There are no shortcuts in bookkeeping. There are guidelines we must follow to ensure the information is accurate. I don't allow mixing of personal and business finances. I will help clean up past mistakes for a fee, and set you up correctly going forward, but will not work with someone that continues to do the wrong thing just because it seems easier. Additionally, I don't work with monthly clients who keep trying to do their own thing in their books without consulting me. If you want to do your own books, we can set up some training that will allow you to take over, but there can be too many cooks in the kitchen.
And to touch on my last point, I wont work with anyone unwilling to pay. I utilize automatic payments since we will sign a contract for services. You get what you pay for, so if you would like Fiverr prices, you get Fiverr work.
